Église Notre Dame de Lorette II

Rich colors adorn every corner of this large church, much like a museum.

I would like to return for a concert on the Cavaille-Coll organ,
and to see if there are any mistresses in attendance.

Bon dimanche

Delightful picture Genie, and not what some might expect to see.

Bon dimanche, to you and the mistresses.

Near the small city of Arras in northern France there was a terrible battle at a hill with a chapel on it named Notre Dame de Lorette. There is a national cemetery there now where 35000 French soldiers are buried.

It seems that Lorette is a reference to the place where Marie was living when supposedly she was visited by the holy spirit, causing her immaculate conception.

Beautiful. Every church in Paris is worth seeing! Even for the nonreligious.
