Umphhh!

I would say that this is a mouthful!

Whether you are a history buff or not, you would surely enjoy the display of cannons in Cour d'Honneur.

We previously visited the cannons here.

I don't think our weapons of war are quite so decorative nowadays.

Another "bang up" photo. Actually quite comical.

Fantastic detail! Is this what they mean when they talk about the "art of war"???

This is on my list for next time!

Don't you just love how they made even their weapons decorative? Great detail, Genie.
(My WV is unwari—not something to be when you are playing with cannons!)

I not only like the cannons, I like ALL of the photos you post.

LONG MESSAGE: I'm quite frustrated; cannot access my email account, comment on any blogs that don't allow anonymous visitors, nor access my Visual St. Paul blog. Lost all my addresses. Fortunately I had scheduled posts 'til mid-November sometime (but can't add to them with an explanation) because of surgery. Don't have time to start a new email account nor blog, but I'll be back. If you care to contact me in the meantime, I can be reached with another acct., tho: myhearthandhome@gmail.com
Added: Now my computer has shut down and I'm in my neighborhood library!

Bibi -- Choke? Pretty funny! Don't you wonder about the designer of this cannon?

Linda -- Yes, I think that the current "weapons of war" are plain by comparison.

Birdman -- Merci et un grand sourire

Bear -- A very nice "pun" from you, and it is comical!

M -- I would imagine that the soldiers took very good care of cannons like this.

Virginia -- We'll photograph every single one of them!

Alexa -- Funny "wv" for your comment. I do love the detail and humor in the crafting of this cannon and the "fish handles" of my previous post.

Kate -- I hope that your blog and computer problems can be resolved quickly. There is nothing more frustrating than IT issues! You can be anonymous with me anytime you need.

Bergson -- Je crois que peut-être tu aies raison.

This is fascinating. I had no idea that the machinery of war had artists doing some of the job.

Was this the cannon or the person who was shot at. Nice shot!
