Miam-miam! Not only delicious for the palate but for the eye as well! Love the soft, muted colors and the sprig of green. This definitely puts my dinner to shame.
I've been perusing your blog this morning, Genie, and enjoying myself very much. It's too early to think about dinner, but it's unlikely I'll be having these.
Shell -- I will not either but I have an excellent seafood shop very close-by. I feel inspired and yearning for some shrimp tonight.
Bibi -- We do not usually find them in the shell either although several specialty stores regularly have fresh scallops (not local)
Margaret -- Yes, and as Holly suggested below we might be serving these up for le diner in a couple of months!
Gringo -- The seafood is not bad for you unless you slather (expressive word, non?), slather it in butter and serve it with fries, etc. Grilled seafood is right down my alley!
Holly -- I think that is a great idea!!
Starman -- You just reminded me that I need to go and check out your Paris adventures...
Virginia -- Me either! Even if it is shrimp.
M -- The markets just seem to put their products out in open baskets or trays -- How do they make such an artful presentation with what seems so little effort?
Sara Louise -- Just do not let The Husband prepare them, right?
Petrea -- Glad you are looking around over here -- I need to quit posting photos of food because it makes me hungry all day! Merci.
Sorry I had to wait until lunchtime to visit—what I'm having at my desk doesn't come even remotely close to this (nicely captured) deliciousness. For dinner? Well, I know what I want! Thanks, Genie. :~}
Not something I think I would like but they made for an interesting photo. Dinner for me tonight was a Zucchini soup with Chicos (dried corn) with cheese and green chili. Great for these chilly evenings.

I have no idea yet, but safe to say, it isn't these little morsels. How they glisten so!
Do I ever LOVE coquilles Saint Jacques! I make them whenever I can find scallops, which isn't often, unfortunately....
I haven't seen anything so inviting in a long time!
I should not be looking at your blog when I am trying very hard to loose weight Genie! The seafood looks wonderful!
Oh just had a thought - if we get an appartement when we go in December we might have a kitchen and can whip some of these up for dinner! Parfait!
I like coquilles Saint Jacques very much. Had them in a paella in Barcelona.
Whatever I'm having won't be this good.

I don't know, Genie... I think I'd prefer a kebab-frites! ;-P
James -- Moi aussi!
Alexa -- Well, we can dream a little about how delicious they would be with a nice little glass (or two) of wine.
Paul -- I can fix you up with that at my house. Bring Karin and come on.

Randy -- If you made this, email me the recipe, svp. Sounds delish!
