I have been away from blogging for many months now and I thought that it was time to return. I lost my darling husband and my loving mother and broke my leg all during five days last April. Thank you for all who emailed me, concerned about my absence. I am healing and recovering as I find reasons to be happy.

Bisous,
Genie

Gros bisous 🌺

What a sad news Genie, a terrible time for you to go through. I had missed you indeed, saw you going down on my side line for some time which always means someone is not posting anymore. You never know what the reason is, but mostly not a happy one. I hope so you will find some joy in blogging again, you make beautiful photos and I always loved to read your blog. Keep going and know we bloggers support each other.
Love, Marianne

So sorry for your loss and difficult year.

Interestingly, you have come back to "Paris." If that's not testament to the power this city holds for so many of us, I don't know what is. Paris will heal and feed your soul.

All the best.

You have each reinforced my desire to return to blogging where I have "met" some of the most talented and compassionate people. Thank you for your heartwarming welcome on my return.

Genie, you returned with a most appropriate image. The statue at the same time shows sadness but looks forward. You will bear your losses the rest of your life, but you will also find happiness and reasons to laugh.
