Jardin de l'Acclimatation

This pigeon house (pigeonnier) in Jardin de l'Acclimatation
was used during the siege of Paris in 1870
to send messages by carrier pigeon.

I do not know if pigeons are in
residence there today

It's a structure that would be hard to find here!

I want to rent the top floor and the attic !

Well, the top floor would certainly have an excellent view of the garden and the woods that encompass Bois de Boulogne.

Hummmmm... great idea!

Fascinating bit of history (and a great shot too).
