City Daily Photo - Theme Day - La Revolution

City Daily Photo
Theme Day

On the first day of each month the photographers who participate daily with photos of their city (or adopted city) post a photo along a selected theme.  This month is "revolution," and I chose to consider the revolutions in wheels.

This woman is riding a Velib,
which is the public bicycle system in Paris.

On three trips to Paris I have used the Velibs,
dodging the buses and cars to take a different view of the city.
I do not take photos while I ride which is a great comfort to my family.

Take a look at all of the interpretations of the CDP photographers here.

A nice interpretation of the theme Genie. A cycle for revolution.

Nice picture but make also a revolution for yourself to try to take such shot in front. I can recommend it.

Now that's my kind of revolution. :-)

Good choice for the day!

The shot has such a Paris feel to it too.

Good one! And if you'd found someone cycling in Place de la Bastille, you could have gotten both meanings in one shot. :~}

Great description/explanation of your theme day photo. Can we double dog dare you to take some photos whilst zipping around via Velib? : )

Nice theme day shot.

You have a unique perspective today. These shared bicycles are revolutionary in their own way. I saw bikes and car pick up stations all over Columbus last time I was there. They haven't reached Hartford or Naples, so far as I have noticed.

Had to smile when I saw VJ's theme day post of a carousel! I had expected that kind of photo from YOU! This one, however, is so very European; so happy our city is one that loves and supports bikes and riders.
