Stylish and very dignified Genie. Good to see classic fashion is alive and well.
Le bas n'est pas vraiment en accord avec le haut, mais pour avoir une photo de mode des années 60, il suffit de recadrer !
Reminiscent of Gene Kelley...or maybe Maurice Chevalier...or...or...or...
The upper half could come from 60ies! But the other half tells today's fashion..Interesting! :o)
Maybe he's a TV news reporter... dressed above for the camera... dressed below for comfort. In any case, it's a wonderful portrait in B&W.
This is almost as if you took two pictures and pieced them together ... A dressed for the office photo on top of a casual weekend photo ... His unkempt shoes do not go with his polished hat, tie and coat. But it is charming!
monsieur looks like he came right out of a classic movie. ^0^lovely
Yes, I agree with the above comments....looks like a gentleman from a classic film...with Audrey coming toward him? ;)Fantastic shot, dear Genie!I hope you are having a wonderful start to the New Year! I've missed visiting due to some computer issues, but I'm so very happy to be back...Bises!- Irina
And I was told it would be way un-cool to wear jeans in Paris! Is it that men can do this, particularly with shirt and tie and very dressy coat, and still be charming, but a woman not? Or is it that Parisians can get away with it, but they don't like to see such attire on tourists?
That is a curious mix of fashions...
I was going to say what Malyss said (but I was going to place his upper-half fashion sense more in the '50s and the lower half on a tractor). I'd be curious to know his story.
While I'd hardly call this "classic fashion", he does look interesting and pleasant. Did you ask him to pose or was this just a quick shot?
Very dapper looking.
Starman, I did ask for his photo and he turned and smiled at me, but I chose to post this photo as it appealed to me for the more natural expression.JudyMac, it depends on several factors. You may wear tailored slim jeans with stylish shoes, but rumpled mom-jeans with tennies is a no-no. Alexa, if you had been there with me, we could have engaged him in a full conversation. He did not appear to be in a hurry, and he was alone. Perhaps he was meeting his date on the bridge in the rain? Hummmm....Chieftess, I just loved his profile too.Thank you all for your comments on this mystery man.Bises,Genie
