Le Zinc d'Honoré

Le Zinc d'Honorée

Bistro, Brasserie, Terrasse, Café...

Food was reasonably priced... good, but not outstanding...
chipper service, some local patrons, one was with us.

Am I mistaken or is that a Coca Cola sign?

I think you're right! It does look like a Coca Cola sign! Good catch! I can deal with "good" now and then if the service is chipper! Fun capture for the day, Genie, as always and what a delightful way to end my day! Hope your week is going well! Enjoy!

Hugs
Sylvia

Hello Genie:
But what a counter!! Now we could certainly use that somewhere.

I can't see the Coca Cola thing, hard as I look at the photo! Anyway I guess you Americans can see a Coca Cola sign even in dreams :-)

Oh do recommend places! I can't wait to try them in September!

That counter top is spectacular! You've captured some lovely light here, Genie, even if the food you captured wasn't sensational.

J'adore le zinc! Peut-être vin et fromage? Then you don't have to worry about the quality of the food ;). Yes, that's a coke bottle design ... They say coca-cola is international!

Seems like a decent enough sort of place. Thanks for the picture. And, yes, that does appear to be a Coke bottle sort of sign. At least the bottle does seem like a Coke.

Appears to be a Coke sign, but difficult to tell for sure.

I wish my kitchen counters looked as good as this serving bar! HAH I love how they package their sugar cubes. I brought some back with me when we were there!

You make me long to be leaning my pointy elbows on a zinc counter—drinking wine, not Coke!—right now.

I'm so well trained that I was looking for red and white. No wonder I had to study your photo. If it's Coke, it looks like an art deco version. haha. Zinc bars, so romantic.

Nice composition, Genie. And, it looks like a good place to spend some time. But, Coca Cola? Ummm, I don't see it.

During the past year Coca Cola has been concerned over losing touch with the most recognizable icon of the Coke mark. Simply stated it is the shape of the bottle. So with a new marketing campaign, the company is returning to the one visual that always identified and differentiated their product... the bottle shape. (more than you wanted to know, I am sure - hah!)

So, for those of you who could not find it, it is just above the hand of the bartender in a vertical ad of black and white.

Like Alexa, I prefer un vin rouge to the Coca-Lite when in Paris!

The food was actually quite good, just not outstanding. They are well-known for the onion soup which one of our party of three enjoyed. I had a light white fish that was fresh with a very light sauce. I might have enjoyed the food more if it had not been late on our first day in Paris. It was busy and there were many locals. I think that the bar area became more crowded after we left.

Love reading your comments!
