Are you dizzy yet?

I wonder if you lean way out from the edge
while holding on and then look up...?

I liiiiikkkkeeee it, Genie. That's a great shot! There is a place in Nice you HAVE to go to when you visit: "La Rotonde", the lovely bistro inside the Negresco hotel. It is decorated like a carrousel; same colors as on your photo; des chevaux de bois, and music playing in the background. You will love it! Veronique

Another beautiful shot. I would never have done that. Whenever I rode the carousel at our local fair, I held on tight!

Genie,

This carrousel is gorgeous. Just look at all that artistry! So many beautiful colors.

I don't think I could lean way out from the edge and look up without fearing I might fall!! LOL

Love the angle, Genie. I've been away and Internet-less, so catching up. You've been posting some nice circles lately.

At the moment I can only think about Paris Paul with his blonde hair flying in the wind... pretty funny sight!

Malyss, dreaming? You really are a princess.

Welcome, Helen!

Wonderful comments and so glad that you liked this carrousel. It is hard for me to see even a photo of a carrousel without smiling.

I will be searching out some new ones in Paris in a few weeks. Also, I know there is one in Dijon and probably Beaune... always on patrol (churches, carrousels, and patisseries) The list is long!

Genie

The colors and the ornate designs alone give great pleasure. Imagine how joyful it would be to ride on it!
