Eglise Saint Louis d'Antin

Looking up into the dome of Eglise Saint Louis d'Antin, only a block from Printemps and Galeries Lafayette. The outside is plain and nondescript, but what beautiful sights are contained within.

Bon dimanche

That's a beautiful teal blue!

Magnificent. This fresco in the dome is very intense. It portrays the devotion the artists and their patrons had for their religion.

It's always so enjoyable when there's a surprise inside. But, then again, Paris is always full of surprises! Delightful surprises.

Genie, you captured the light coming in from the dome window so well -- it bathes the fresco and makes to gold in the images shine. Lovely photo and a wonderful memory!

I guess it was so nondescript I walked right past it! HA

It's nice to be able to see the details around the painting as well. I have a fascination with scrolls and doodle them everywhere.

It is very beautiful. Guess it just goes to show, you can't judge a book by its cover.

I am often guilty of judging by the cover. Shame on me. I would have missed this. Nice one as usual, Genie. (Hope you enjoyed your visit with Holly.)

There is so much beauty in the old works of art. I love visiting churches when I travel.
