Thank you all for your Valentine comments. I was a bit surprised that no one noticed the large red lock in the photo which was ours, the photo of which was taken that evening. I counted the steps from the third pole on the right from the right bank. It was certainly a large (American) lock, and worthy of pruning. I am on the hunt for a very small heart-shaped lock for the next time.
I hope that each of you had chocolates, champagne, and roses for your Valentine Day.

Well, since I put the above comment on the wrong post, I will try again...
There is something quite compelling about the Louvre, even this I M Pei structure that caused so much of a stir when it was created. This is my second most favorite photo of the Pyramid, the other a shot of golden reflections of the full moon rising over the Louvre and seen through the triangle prisms of the Pyramid.
I cannot get enough and each moment gives off a different element of magic. It pains me that I am missing some of those right now!

This is absolutely gorgeous! We stayed just around the corner from this spot during the holidays this year. The light...the stars...the sparkling Eiffel Tower. Magnificent.

Ce que je n'ai jamais pu emmagasiner, à Paris, ce sont les colonnes *noir-blanc*de Buren. Je les trouve affreuses. Jamais peu m'y habituer. J'aimerais retrouver la place *nette* d'avant.
J'aime cette pyramide du Louvre. Je la trouve fascinante.
I definitely love it then it's quite funny because I thought to be almost the only one to believe in the blue time to take best photos of my city :-)
