Chapelle Saint-Vincent-de-Paul
This inconspicuous church sits only a block from Bon Marché and is hardly worth a glance from the street as its façade blends in with the other buildings on Rue de Sèvres.
However, the interior is filled with treasures and a bit of mystery.
There is a shrine to St Vincent de Paul, ornately adorned,
a magnificent organ, and a link to Louis Braille.
More photos and a continued story on another Sunday post.

Hello Genie:
Such grace and such elegance. An interior which appeals to us hugely. We shall look forward to more pictures in due course.
I have always been a great fan of the gold-star-studded blue ceilings and this one does not disappoint. I love the way you have centered the altar in the row of columns. Plain church exteriors conceal beautiful treasures within. Can't waitntomsee more of this one! Bon dimanche tout le monde!
Your blog header photo is magnificent! Could be a hard book cover!
Looks like a heavenly find, that Chapelle Saint-Vincent-de-Paul!
Love those ceilings. The smallest detail is not overlooked.
How beautiful! This shot really draws the eye in and the colours are gorgeous! A fab hidden treasure!
So glad you went in Genie, the arches and the blue/white colours are tres elegant!
Bien située : Sèvres pour les vases de l'autel, Babylone pour la munificence de l'architecture. Une chapelle qui ne dépare pas un des quartiers le plus chic de Paris.
Thanks for reminding us that we shouldn't overlook anything in Paris! We'll be staying quite close to here, hope I get to see it for myself. In the meanwhile I'll look forward to more of your pictures.
Lovely corridor!
Oooo, my heels would click on that beautiful floor. (But it's a church, so i'd have to try to be quiet, lol.) Lovely photo. I love this architecture..
Isn't it good that you decided to go inside despite the inconspicuous façade.
Hi Genie,
The Church is magnificent inside and love the arches.
Interesting that it has a link to Louis Braille and I look forward to seeing more photos.
Happy week
Carolyn
Those who pass by a church with a plain façade are often missing out on real treasures within. Glad you're not one of those foolish people, Genie!
I love the arches, it's a beautiful chapel and your picture is wonderful!
