I have walked past this fountain many times of the day and night but on the last evening in April, mild with a rising full moon, it seemed especially vibrant and colorful... just one of the reasons I must return again and again.Bon weekend

Cool shot! I love the colors and the composition! This reminds me of some pictures that I took of this fountain last fall. My first thought when I saw it in my dashboard was how did my picture get there. :)
I haven´t seen this fountain by night "de mes propres yeux". I love the red light, there´s a special atmosphere in this photo.
Your hand is more steady than mine. Excellent exposure. I wonder what it would look like with only the light of the moon, as in les temps anciens.
quel coup d'oeil
magnifique !!
une photo française aux 3 couleurs
C'est superbe!-c'est incroyable!J'adore beaucoup les couleurs!
Wonderfully intense colours, Genie.
Beautiful...and there's even a bit of 'blanc,' pour le tricolore...
Vibrant RED, brilliant shot Genie, congratulations, I love the angle in this picture, perfect capture!
Léia
coup de coeur aussi
love the colors
might not be reacting as much as I would like to in the coming days bc will be traveling to non internet territory (south of France... high enough to not be in touristville)
Absolutely gorgeous shot Genie, you really do have an eye for spotting the best photo ops, did you take this on a tripod or just hand held, the waters is perfect!Hope you have a colourful weekend!!
Yes, you have indeed caught that vibrancy. Beautiful.
Stunning. When I saw the thumbnail, the color got me...when I saw the full screen post, the composition was the star. Bravo Genie!
Oh, Genie --- this turned out wonderfully! Were you using the low light lens? The water drops are frozen in space, the colors are vibrant, the glistening fountain is superb! Très magnifique!
You are such a great photographer.
One simple word. WOW!
Paris Rouge my dear! :)

Oh, quite nice... strong reds.
The colours and lights are gorgeous, Genie! I can't decide if the little cherub is holding up the fountain or sheltering under it.
Fountains are, generally, fountains. It's the lighting which makes this exceptional, for me, plus the way your have framed this picture. It feels very cosy in there for the little cherub
Great photo, Genie.
Superbe, tout simplement superbe !
Colors are gorgeous on it : the opposition between red and blue is really amazing ! Well done, Dear Genie (you show how much you deserve your name with such a picture... - You know what Genie means in French, don't you ? ;D )
Fabulous shot, Genie!one of the strongest you've ever made!
It's the colours that make this so memorable - though the cupid is cute.
Exquisite shot Genie! Absolutely stunning! (Do you know if Laurent is back in town and will be back blogging?)
I can't imagine a better shot of this fountain! Brava, Genie!
This is such a dreamy image, with the cupido and the colours. Very nice.
Oh, such a gorgeous capture, Genie!! I love the colors and it's just so dreamy and beautifully romantic! One more reason to love Paris! Have a wonderful weekend, mon amie!
Lots of hugs,
Sylvia

Sunset reflection
ABSOLUTELY STUNNING!!!!
Very colorful ...beautiful shot!
Wow ! superbe !
Great photo, Genie. Love seeing the fountain 'in color'.
James, so glad that great minds think alike!
Vreni -- I even saw this in December when the water was frozen... so beautiful
Evan -- Oh, I do not think that I would be brave enough to "kill the lights" but agree that it would be amazing.
Bergson -- Merci, mon ami... la lumière en bleu, rouge et blanc!
Dianne -- Merci, moi aussi!
dive -- The building behind was aglow in a gold wash... a very colorful evening!
Bibi -- C'est vrai!
Léia -- I am glad that you like this shot and I have one other from another angle that I will post another time.
anni -- Let me know when you return so I can quiz you on your itinerary (for future travel)... safe journey, mon amie!
Grace -- You are so kind. This was hand-held as I did not carry my tripod to dinner that night. Merci!
bc -- Merci, mon amie
Carol -- Many thanks... today is a time when I would prefer to have a black background as the red is a bit of a clash
Marie -- Yes, you are correct (AF Nikkor 50mm 1:1.4D) and this was my first night shoot as we captured the full moon... le sigh
Grammy -- Merci, merci
Suzi -- Let's go back right away!
Virginia -- Paris Rouge indeed... merci!
Bird -- I was not sure that the colors could be that vivid... I did not photo-shop, just cropped a bit off the bottom
Shell -- It does seem as if they are sheltered under the fountain as the water cascades over the edge.
Bear -- There are some pretty spectacular fountains nearby (Versailles) but the lights at night make this one special
'Tsuki -- Merci, mon amie. Mon nom en Français? Eh, oui - hah! Ce n'est pas vrai, mais de temps en temps j'ai un coup de génie (et j'ai de la chance)!
Malyss -- Wow, mon amie, merci!
jenny -- I have lots of Paris cupids to show... merci
Nadege -- Merci... (please send me an email)
Oh, Genie, this one is a beauty! The red is stunning, and the cool blue water pours down from behind. Smashing.
Great shot with such colourful reflections!
Great colors!
The fountain looks so different with the coloured lights playing on it. Nice shot.
Alexa -- Merci, mon amie. Maybe we'll get there together one day.
biebkriebels -- The little cupids are so carefully nestled under the mushroom underbelly of the fountain. The primary focus of the fountain is the statue on top
Sylvia -- Merci, and I hope that you have been able to extend your birthday for at least a whole week!
To all... enjoy your weekend and always have a camera ready to "click" Bises...
What a beautiful photo, and inspiration to always keep my eyes open.
Awesome color!
Lovely shot, Genie, I really like the tones and close framing. And at the risk of being a little geeky, it looks like you didn't have to leave the shutter open for very long to get the exposure? Love it.
Love this photo!!!
This is so beautiful, Genie! Yes, you must return - and share!
I can feel the magic of this place...very romantic.
What gorgeous photographs, so happy to meet you and your blog online! Thanks for stopping by my blog...
Exceptional shot. Brava!
