Love this perspective, Genie! The cobblestone design really shows up and the greenery is a lovely, lush frame for the cafe scene. Wouldn't it be nice to be sitting there now, instead of being here in hot as hades August? Paris en avril --- magnifique!

Your blog is so refreshing! The lipstick red background is divine. Believe it or not, that photo of les rives droite et gauche at that particular juncture on the Seine is my favorite place in Paris. Vraiment.

Everyone looks to be having such fun. I loved the Cafe's in Paris. It is perhaps the most relaxing place to spend an afternoon. I guess one would have to drink many cups of cafe creme if they wanted to spend the afternoon people watching.

It is a nice photo of daily life, Genie. The Parisians live their ordinary lives here, and we Americans live our ordinary lives at McDonalds. What is wrong with this picture?

It is so difficult to think of favorite places and areas of Paris and I am glad that I am not forced to choose. I am conflicted as I plan another trip and then the one after that as to how I will re-visit places and still manage to see new yet-undiscovered (for me) restaurants, parks, shops, markets, museums, walks....
When I look at this photo, I long to be sitting right under one of those trees with friends or alone with a book or a journal with no place to go in a hurry. The pace in Paris is something I should try to replicate when I return home.
