Montmartre Café - Le Troubadour

From the street view looking down, the café scene on this Saturday was one of families and friends framed with green and a blue sky (not shown).

What a lovely shot of a lovely café in the heart of Paris. Quelle verdure! It is so green and lush in that small courtyard. Love the cobble stones. I will make sure to pay "le Troubadour" a visit in a few months when I return. Merci pour le "tuyau" Genie. Veronique aka French Girl in Seattle

This café looks very nice! I love the wooden tables and chairs and the cobble stones. I will put this café on my list for my next trip.

Lovely. I would like to sit there. (especially now when we just have an autumn rain here in southern Finland.)

Oh! that is lovely. What I would give to be transported to that gorgeous little cafe right now.

Une vieille cour où l'on pose des pavés, quelques plantes, de jolies tables, et le sourire du serveur. Il n'en faut pas davantage pour passer un super moment dans un tel bistrot.
Merci pour cette belle photo, Genie!

Very pretty, but at those prices I'm not surprised there are empty tables.

"Poulbot, "troubadour", "Montmartre" are names that make me dream..

Great shot. Now I understand why so many streetphoto's from Paris are from above. Just stay on the street.

Love this perspective, Genie! The cobblestone design really shows up and the greenery is a lovely, lush frame for the cafe scene. Wouldn't it be nice to be sitting there now, instead of being here in hot as hades August? Paris en avril --- magnifique!

Genie ~

Your blog is so refreshing! The lipstick red background is divine. Believe it or not, that photo of les rives droite et gauche at that particular juncture on the Seine is my favorite place in Paris. Vraiment.
One photo per story each blog post is so doable.
I'm inspired.

Everyone looks to be having such fun. I loved the Cafe's in Paris. It is perhaps the most relaxing place to spend an afternoon. I guess one would have to drink many cups of cafe creme if they wanted to spend the afternoon people watching.

Thanks for the tip. I am making a wonderful list for my next visit to Paris!

So civilized! The French know how to do café life, même en famille.

It is a nice photo of daily life, Genie. The Parisians live their ordinary lives here, and we Americans live our ordinary lives at McDonalds. What is wrong with this picture?

What a great view. Looks like a nice place to be with friends.

What V said! (But I'd like to be down there right now, occupying one of those tables—make mine a kir, of course). Great shot, Genie!

It is so difficult to think of favorite places and areas of Paris and I am glad that I am not forced to choose. I am conflicted as I plan another trip and then the one after that as to how I will re-visit places and still manage to see new yet-undiscovered (for me) restaurants, parks, shops, markets, museums, walks....

When I look at this photo, I long to be sitting right under one of those trees with friends or alone with a book or a journal with no place to go in a hurry. The pace in Paris is something I should try to replicate when I return home.

Thank you for all of your comments and particularly some of you who are new to me.

Bises,
Genie
