Église Sainte-François de Sales

Rue Brémontier in the 17ieme is one of the streets between the Metro Wagram and our favorite restaurant in Paris. We recognize familiar landmarks along the way and Église Sainte-François de Sales assures us that we are headed in the right direction. When I was introducing Marie and Virginia to Franck and Karin last June, we stopped for photos in and outside this neighborhood church.

Bon dimanche!

I'm here from Virginia's blog - and LOVE this! How lucky you are to have gone recently. But you must tell us - WHAT is your favorite restaurant... and why?

Ummm Ahem.. I am sorry. It was Carol Schiff's blog that led me here!

Oh I remember this well. A fine day from start to finish. Fun to see you two waiting on me as I came up from the Metro, lovely walk to Hier & Aujourd'hui, and then stopping here for photos. Oh and my cool ivory scarf along the way!

Bon dimanche to you and Marie,
V

Rather different, this church—and beautiful in its simplicity! (I'm also hoping you'll name that restaurant.)

Indeed it was a delightful day -- the start of a trip to Paris with my dear friend Genie, meeting Virginia and a wonderful repast at Hier & Aujourd'hui! It was wonderful to see you in H-town but so sad to have to bid "Adieu" today :-( Bises, M

Malyss -- It is tightly positioned between two non-descript buildings... this church is lovely

Guillaume -- I do too... So glad that you found me and will be dropping in regularly!

Cildemer -- Paris has an incredible number of old churches and I love discovering new ones (to me) to inspect and to photograph... merci

Kelley -- Glad to see you here by whatever route! Tomorrow I am featuring my favorite restaurant...

Virginia -- Ah, yes, the scarves!

Alexa -- It is rather plain on the outside but there are always treasures to discover inside... stay tuned!

Chieftess -- Merci, mon amie

Starman -- I will check that out...

Marie -- Loved the fabulous H-town Brasserie with the fois-gras entrée... We will take another trip to Paris, maybe with the husbands

James -- Merci, and next week I'll be back on "reflections."

The church looks almost like it's built of sandstone.

Interesting angle and composition.

And right next to the church, an apartment building. The bells would waken you, I'm pretty sure.
