Street Artist - Nemo

Street art

Although it disturbs me to see graffiti covering walls, fences, and every available surface on the train station platforms (and the tunnels in the Metro), this I love!  The street artists of Paris are recognized for their distinctive style and themes.
This panel is by the artist Nemo.

Oh, I checked to make certain that I am not showing this upside down!

Street art like this I love! We don't see much of it here in Seattle, but ever so often I will spot one! Great capture for the day, Genie! Hope your week is going well!

Hugs
Sylvia

I'm a big street art fan from Samo to Banksy. I'll have to check out Nemo :)

Hello Genie:
Like you, we deplore the mindless graffiti which appears relentlessly in every city and which serves absolutely no purpose and is cerainly not at all decorative.

Not so this by Nemo which really can be described as 'art' and is great fun. A couple of years back we were involved to a degree with an exhibition here in Budapest of the work of street artist, Keith Haring - all most interesting.

You are right. Graffiti is already part of the culture of a city. I'm a follower of "invaders", many in Paris!

I agree Genie. It's terrific. It has a certain "je ne sais quois".

I'm with you...I hate to see graffiti written on walls and on just about any empty space but have to admit that I do like this one! :)

I think it's time to start distinguishing between graffiti and what is obviously ART!

You know that I like street art (not tagging), including Nemo! I can see that Nemo's work is surrounded (you can just guess it) by some "bodies" by Jérome Mesnager. Maybe you intend also to show that?
