Paris rouge - une pâtisserie

Near Place d'Aligre on a Sunday morning, one finds the world perched in outdoor cafés. I was captivated by the rich façade of this pâtisserie and would have been tempted to lounge but alas there was no room!

I will have to return

I'm smiling. Because I read that you have to go back there. And you write that so many times that I imagine you with a loooong to-do-list, or a biiiiig notebook, with thousends of addresses, places to see, things to do, food to eat..:o)

Une autre patisserie, Genie! Oui, je comprends. Tellement pour manger et boire ; tellement peu d'heure.
Bon appétit, Genie.

Hmmm... I think a very charming cafe like that would always be full ♥

Généralement, le café dans les pâtisseries est encore meilleur. Et puis, ici, la façade est tellement belle...
Un bel endroit pour un rendez-vous d'amoureux...

I would love to sit at one of these tiny tables and have a pain au chocolat. Maybe I´ll do it in July, I will stay in an apartment close to the Marché d´Aligre.

I love to sit on a terrace and have a drink, doesn't matter where, but this one is looking very inviting.

What a gorgeous looking cafe Genie, made even more so by the glimpse of some very delicious looking pastries through the window.

Soaking up the warm sunshine. I love the pastoral scenes around the door way!

Oh yes, you will have to! What a cool place to hang around, having un petit noir et un croissant.

Please do return and show us their pastries. I am sure they were sublime.

Interesting group of people at this pâtisserie. Two old couples, two young couples and one solo femme.

That sure does look inviting! Not surprised you couldn't snag a spot—those folks look like they've established a beachhead and might just make a day of it. :~}

Et moi, aussi! C'est vraiment une facde magnifique! If e
We hadn't a) been there so early and/or b) already indulged and/or c) had plans to indulge elsewhere ... I would have loved to sit there avec un cafe et mes amies!

Well, Marie is telling the truth... we had already stopped at two places in Marche d'Aligre after stopping on our way "to" the market at Ble Sucre for pet't dejeuner and had another one or two on our list yet to visit...

So many patisseries and so little time...

I am in my "home away from home" the Atlanta airport and will get to my destination at oh dark thirty, sadly .... not Paris. Tant pis pour moi.

Bises,
Genie

Your red background and this red photograph . . . my eyes are starting to vibrate. It looks inviting and pretty. I will wear sunglasses.

I really love this shot. I also love how close people sit together there. Here we are so much more about personal space.

I had lunch today with someone who recently spent 2 weeks in Paris. After talking to her and looking at your photos, I would love to return...it's been too long ago since I strolled the boulevard.

This looks delightful! I was walking the streets of Paris yesterday overcome by the selection of cafes. It is so difficult to choose just one!!!!

There never is.... :))))
I pass it every Sunday and if the weather permits, it's just FULL with sun hungry happy people! Always a good sign, especially in Paris where you're truly spoilt with lovely bakeries/confiseries/cafés/bars/
eateries and wine/delicatessen points!
Was lead to you via Shell Sherree and am glad I did the jump!
More luck to you another time :) It won't go away anytime soon....
