The colored cups are not often seen in Paris, 

but these are Cafés Richard.

I would choose Cafés Richard over Starbucks for certain,

and I do wish that I had some of these colorful cups for coffee and tea.

This little sip was found at La Ruche à Miel 
in a cup with the green logo of Les B. Arome Cafés.


Hummm, I guess not all coffee in Paris comes from Cafés Richard after all.

Le Réminet - la cave

The cave (or basement) setting for larger parties (or perhaps for a group of rowdy Americans) is actually quite intimate.  I have dined both upstairs and down.  

I think that we took about 100 photos of the black Cafés Richard cup, another 50 of the candlelight and wine glasses, many covert photos of the other diners, and then we took photos of their table when they left.  We took photos of each other, of reflections, of the blackboard menu...

Can you figure out why they put us in the basement?

(We took photos of the kitchen and the bathroom, too - shhhhh!)

At any café in Paris

At any café in Paris, your coffee will likely be served in a Cafés Richard cup.  

What is Cafés Richard you ask? 

They are a company whose fresh roasted beans

are delivered daily to Paris' cafés and restaurants. 

I have several Paris cups and Paris mugs,

but why have I never bought the cup so well-known to Parisians? 

I will be doing so this week if I can buy a single cup or two. 

This is called their Perle Noire Cappuccino Cup and Saucer. 

Perhaps I need the expresso, the black Florio design, the Richard Coffee Cup and Saucer with the logo... My carry-on may be a bit heavy on my return to the US.
