Square Gabriel-Pierné
A bench of books
This little pocket of a park just behind Institut de France
was named for Henri Gabriel-Pierné,
a French composer, conductor, and organist who died in 1937.
There are some interesting features of this park
and the bench made of books is my favorite.
How clever a sculpture for public use
and I do not even know the artist's name.

That's a cool bench!
Thank you so much, Genie! Books and benches are two of my favorite things , and to see them together in one single thing is simply wonderful! I have to find this bench next time I'll be in Paris.
I'm away from home but I'll put a link on my blog of benches when I'll be back. Bises!
This is so nice, have never seen something like this before!
Oh wow. I love that bench. I love your photo too Genie- such a beautiful use of black and white. I'm going to have to find this park on my walks.
