Very, very different from the back door on my house ;^)
That would be a fantastic front door for any place!
Very ornate indeed. I can't wait to see the front entrance.
It looks fantastic but I get also the feeling that they are dusting the portal.
Definitely not the ordinary back door!! Great shot as always, Genie! My blog problems have finally defeated me and I'm giving up, but I will continue to visit and comment! Hope you have a great weekend!
So many nice memories at the Opera Garnier...especially dinner at the Odile Decq designed resto!Bisous
The kind of door that makes you feel being someone important! :o)wonderful!
As the old saying goes ...if you've got it, flaunt it! Why not go a little overboard with the rear entrance? Lovely photo!!! I love the palm fronds!
Very nice back-door Genie ... and I've learnt a new world "Les Caryatids" I like it a lot."All Things French"
Not too shabby—but you should see the front door. Right, Genie? (And thanks for giving me that big choco craving yesterday!)
Beautiful entry.
SC, you are right. There were many renovations, and I had to cross a barricade to get this shot. I just acted "official."Andy, I have many posts on Palais Garnier, and believe me, the front doors are astonishing!Mad, I am so glad that we had that dinner and I look forward to a repeat experience.Dianne, it was not too long after I started my blog that I discovered caryatids and so much more architectural details. Merci BMalyss, I felt important enough to ignore the restrictions - hah!Bises,Genie
