Cathédrale Notre Dame de Paris
Perhaps more recognizable from the other side,
the majestic details of this view are my favorite.
In the summer months you might even find it deserted
very early in the day or very late at night.
It is worth losing an hour's sleep to have this scene to yourself.

Truly! I, too think that this is the more beautiful side. I remember well the first time we walked around the back, admired the garden and then continued away from the church mesmerized by this view!
I love this view too ,, and just sit on the benches around the little garden, away from the crowds..

Right you are, Genie. Who needs that hour when a magnificent view like this is out there?? :) Fabulous photo of it too. I don't think i've ever seen it in a picture from this side. I love it too.
I've been there a few times (at different times of the day) and never saw anyone else.
It looks almost delicate from this view point.

A month ago this was my backyard! I'm already homesick for Paris.
