Le Petit Bofinger - Brasserie

Le Petit Bofinger

This charming brasserie is just across the street from the famed Bofinger.  The reviews look good, and the ambiance is more intimate than its big sister.  The website states that it is perfect for a family meal or a quick business lunch (in Paris!)

The menu provides a better value but if you are looking for the Bofinger Belle Epoque decor and the history of nearly 150 years, you best make a reservation across the street with its café curtain windows.

Le Petit Bofinger has an echo of the windows,
not with curtains, but with gently frosted glass as seen in the photo above.

Pour une ancienne parisienne, je ne connaissais pas et on ne peut tout connaître de Paris! C'est aussi cela le charme d'une capitale.
Très bonne inspiration pour cette photo!
Bonne semaine Genie.

I haven´t been to neither of the Bofinger restaurants. Do you know the colours of their chairs so I can colour-coordinate my outfit in case I go there one day?

Sweet capture. Have been down this street many times, but have never stepped across the threshold of either Bofinger. I'm easily intimidated by restaurants that exude formality and tradition.

The frosted silhouettes are delightful! We should put this on our list for our special meal next trip :)

Hello Genie:
We suspect that we are too much of the 'Ancienne Régime' to be seduced across the road, but the etched glass detailing is charming.

Wishing you the most joyous, healthy and peaceful New Year!

Le Petit Bofinger looks perfect pour moi Genie, perhaps a little more relaxed oui!
P.s. I shouldn't complain about the weather, it really is for such a short period of the year, but so intense when its happening.

I'm always on the look-out for new cafés in Paris and I shall add this to my list. The frosted windows are so cute.

I've been here with Peter, JB, Owen and Mary once. I remember it was good but not the best meal I"ve ever had. It is charming inside though.

I love your keen eye . . . you see things that everyone else just hurries by and never notices.
You amaze me :)
Your blogging sister,

Décor counts—but the food counts more! Still, maybe I should save my euros for next time, eh?

Not the best outdoor seating I've ever seen.

The etched figures are charming. Can't say that I know anything at all about Bofingers.
