Jardin des Tuileries - le dimanche

Jardin des Tuileries

In the second week of October
a Sunday full of blue skies and sunshine
attracts the masses to this beautiful garden

which was first opened to the public in 1667,
really!

I love the way sunny weather brings people out. Kind of like mushrooms after a rain.

Looks like a beautiful way to spend a few hours, Genie. Just add ice-cream.

It's been around a long time then and I can see it's still hugely popular!

Il est bon effectivement de profiter des derniers beaux jours de l'automne avec la grande douceur du moment... Malheureusement ce weekend tout semble vouloir se gâcher...
Je te souhaite cependant de belles heures de partage.
Gros bisous

Tuileries will always hold a special place in my heart. It was there that I burst into tears at the very joy of being in Paris on my first visit, a little jet lag helped I think. And last visit we enjoyed the summer fete with my son so much, again it was the scene of delicious memories.

Strolling through Tuileries on a crisp, sunny day ... Doesn't get much better than that!

And there were surely some people who made a pique-nique...Some days ago I booked my next flight to Paris for december. I´m looking forward to the Christmas lights and of course the beautifully decorated windows!

Wow! 1667. Amazing. And what a beautiful place to be when the weather has cleared. We should always celebrate sunny skies!
