The Parisians certainly know how to dress up a window. This ribbon shop (SHINDO) has an exquisite display of lifesized animals made of silk ribbons.
Giraffe's are a favorite of mine and this fellow did not disappoint.
bon weekend

You found a creatively decorated window today, Genie. I enjoy seeing the work of talented window dressers. Your giraffe is pretty cool.
Works of art in both your image and the design of the giraffe.
Thank you
Helen
That really is very creative. I love giraffes.
How ingenious is this !!
Im also a 'crafty person' and like you i would have eyes everywhere !! :)
My dear i think i might have been in this ribbon shop but photos were prohibited. I am so glad you captured this. I am feeling as though Paris might be calling my name. x
How pretty!

They certainly do know how to dress a window don't they? I took a few photos of windows. I'm going to take more next time. Although those glass reflections are tricky.
I'll bet Suzi was in the ribbon shop in the Marais. I was there once and was not allowed photos. This is a new one for me. Don't you wonder how many hours it took them to make all those rosettes!

Beautiful!
I can't even imagine how many hours of work went into that giraffe alone.
Oh, creative indeed!! How delightful! I can only imagine the time required to create something like this! What a wonderful capture for the day, Genie!! Hope you have a beautiful weekend!
Hugs

I like him, too. Did you know that no two giraffes have the same spots? I mean, the spots are sort of like fingerprints; no two alike.
I love the way the giraffe is put together. A sheep or a poodle would also make great subjects!
That is so cool! Giraffes are also my favorite! I've often wondered how it is that when they run they can look so graceful with such a long neck!
Beautiful! You are so lucky to be going again!
I'm adding this ribbon shop to my list. I found MOKUBA in the 1er arrond. and they would not allow any interior photos and it was only row after row of ribbon - no ribbon giraffes seen on the premises.
Wow!!! Way cool!!!
Genie, so beautiful and creative! Are you in the City of Light now??
A bon weekend to you, chere Genie,
xoxo,

Irina, I am not there yet but will be soon.
Speedway, I think if you check out the link you will see a parade of ostriches in these same colors... very creative.
V, there are so many ribbon shops in Paris and most will not allow photographs. I did, however, get a shot in the ribbon department of Bon Marché.
Suzi, Paris is definitely calling your name.
Bises,
Genie
No one does windows like the French. Mus be coded in the DNA.
Love this, what a great idea.
Is it a japanese shop? What a great idea to decorate the giraffe! i really like it very much!
That's so cool! Giraffes are my favorite zoo animal by far so I would love to have this! :)
