L'heure bleue

As I was waiting (somewhat) patiently for the full moon,
I looked over my shoulder to find these shades of pinks, purples and blues.

My Paris is always full of surprises and treasures.
I know... she is not just mine, but alone this evening it felt like she was all mine.

and Pont au Change)

If you can have such a feeling, it means that you really belong to the place!

Ah, the bridges of Paris at sunset: one of life's very finest experiences.
Of course, if you're standing on a Paris bridge at sunset it usually means you're on your way to a restaurant, which makes it even better.

Isn't it wonderful when the sun puts on such a show. The building on the left with the spires looks very grand.

So beautiful! I love the colors.

No one can deny the love you have for Paris...If you feel it in your heart then it must be so...Paris deserves to be yours if only for a night!

Yes, Paris belongs to all those who love her, in many different ways..and L'Heure Bleue is my favorite perfume.

Your patient vigil on the Pont d"Arcole was well-rewarded (and I'll bet you got that shot of the full moon too). I feel exactly the same way about Paris—but I'm willing to share her with you, ma chère! :~}

I possibly stood at that same bridge.. and had a Paris viewing of the moon the night before it was full..

Love how the lights flicker on the Seine.. so peaceful.

Julie, were you there on that bridge in November? We crossed paths? Next time we will coordinate!

Thank you for sharing your love and admiration of this city with me and for indulging my self-centered thoughts as I stood on that bridge. Can you believe that there were people crossing in both directions that never looked out at that purple/pink view of the Seine or even noticed that a large gold moon was peeking over the cityscape? Tsk-tsk... never miss a thing.

Thanks, Jack... for confirming

Bibi, perfect word for this aura and sense of being... perfume.

Alexa, thanks for sharing, and Virginia, I know you are teasing (right?)

Bises,
Genie

Beautiful serendipity! When you find something fortunate and wonderful when you least expect it! (Or when you're waiting for 'something else.) :) Lovely shades of blue here. What a spot for an evening walk with a loved one..
