Hah! When I was in Paris with a friend I stayed in an apartment on the corner of Rue Clovis and Rue Descartes, which made Etienne-du-mont our closest church. I am booked to stay in this same apartment this coming September. Such a hectic area. I love it.
Bonjour, Hier je me trouvais à Quimper devant la majestueuse cathédrale... Dire que la Bretagne était si pauvre et si riche en calvaires, en églises et enclos paroissiaux... Belle photo, merci et bon dimanche. Bisous.
Whew! We are burning the candles at both ends of the day and in the middle too (as Marie likes to say). We spent the morning at Marche D'Aligre and in the 12th... We met Janeen for lunch and we almost were riding on Velibs!! She was going to let us use her card to rent bikes but we could not get it to work. Some day I would like to ride the bikes around for an afternoon...
We spent the afternoon at Bassin de la Villette watching people and the petanque players of all ages. Then we finished the day with several hours at Parc des Buttes Chaumont. As we were dragging wearily to the apt, we went to a service at Eglise Saint Roch (next door) and found the third organ... more on this later!
This is such a beautiful, ´silent´ picture! During 7 years I was a religious/nun in France/Burgundy (near Paray le Monial) (yes, really!) and I just loved (I still do, by the way) to sit in empty churches and being in this great silence.

We have seen some amazingly beautiful churches this week --- can't wait to see your future Sunday postings ---
This shot does make you feel how massive the columns are and how tiny the chairs seem in that huge space -- well done!

Bisous.
It certainly does show the church's enormity - truly monumental. Another really clever photo, Genie.
Wow it sure does!! Beautiful. I must look it up soon.
Lovely, did you take it with your new lense?
A reminder of the magnificence of a higher being.
Lovely and very interesting POV Genie. I love this church too!

I love the way I feel when I encounter things that are so enormous.
The way you took the picture shows how much the place is very impressive.; I hope you still have good times in Paris!
Enormous indeed. Hope you're enjoying Paris ;)
It is huge, and very quiet.

I want you to know I specifically made a visit to St Eustache because of your photo! It may be my favorite that you have taken. Just perfect.
