Une banquette rouge

Le Bistrologue Café at the corner of Boulevard Diderot and Rue Crozatier caught my eye with its red bench on the terrasse. I think that this would make a cozy corner for meeting friends... next week!

All of the café spots will be full of people enjoying the warmer weather of spring. Where we found many empty outdoor chairs and tables in December, we will see a totally different scene in April.

Ah. The sharp eye of Genie finds yet another delightful subject. Wonderful.

This took me back to high school when I worked in the Rexall Drug Store as a soda-jerk making milk shakes, banana splits, coffee, etc. The I graduated into the pharmacy's assistant and counted pills. Your picture brings back good memories.

You'll have to send us a photo of you on the red bench! PS. Did you see yesterday's NYTimes article on out-of-the-way Paris restaurants? Worth a look.

"Le Bistrologue", not too far from Marche Aligre, if you want to go back! Looking forward to seeing you again, there or elsewhere! :-)

We loved Paris in December. No lines at the museums was a treat! Love this red banquette. Can you imagine if this was in the US? The local fire marshal would never allow a bench to block the doorway like this. Ah, bureaucracy.

Very nice capture. The red booth really pops. Can't wait to experience the cafes of Paris.

I just finished a post about a restaurant with red booths but it was in Hollywood, not Paris – red is a popular color for a booth maybe. So you will be in Paris next week? Sorry to miss you as we are going to Paris in May, after going to Vienna. I hope the weather will be nice for both of us.

Benches are extremely rare sights in Paris. Especially outside.

Grab that banquette, Genie—j'arrive! I only wish I was going back so soon. If the weather is half as nice as it was last week, you'll be very lucky (and of course I hope it's even better for your upcoming visite).
