Cour du Commerce Saint André
This covered passageway was opened in 1776,
running between rue Saint André des Arts
and boulevard Saint Germain.
It also follows a section of the perimeter wall
built by King Philippe-Auguste in the late 13th century.

1776! Should rename it the American Way. :-)
A view through an arch is my favourite kind of view. 1776, that's an amazing age to me here in 'young' Perth Genie :)

And it offers great framing opportunities for the photographer!
This wonderful photo got me up out of a cozy chair to seek my Paris map. For others who might be interested, Cour du Commerce St André runs into Bd St Germain near Métro Odéon. I would love to know more about the shops.....
Very pretty shot! I like the arch too.
I will be in Paris in about ten days. Must put this passageway on the list.
Jack, hope you have a great time in Paris!
