Le Carrousel de la Gare Montparnasse

Carousel at Gare Montparnasse

This (counterclockwise) carousel has the original
wood horses along with some other interesting rides.

I do not know the significance of the turquoise "F" along the crown.

First time I've seen a carousel like this--motorcycles, a sub, a trolley car.

Isn't interesting that there are carousels all over Paris? Can you think of any other major city that has them in abundance. I walked through the plaza in front of Montparnasse many days on my way to the office. Some of my favorite images of Paris include a carousel.

Quite an eclectic mix of carousel seating. I'm used to horses on these things, but not a submarine...

Seems appropriate for some of the rides to be modes of transport, considering where this is located. It's a beauty!
