The Violinist
The sounds coming from his violin were clear and mesmerizing. Asking permission for the photo, he nodded in return. Clicking twice, I thanked him for his music, dropped a tip, and walked on my way as he gave me the hint of a smile.
I hope that all who passed this corner enjoyed a pleasant break from the noise of the street, replaced by the strains of Bach from this single violinist.

Une vieillesse difficile.
Gosh - I admire street performers like this. Especially the violin. The strains from violin strings seem to carry so far.
He looks so cold!
I wonder if he took home a decent pay?!
The Parisien street performers were a highlight of my trip. Un Violoniste was even performing on the Metro.
Music-filled streets ... Beautiful Paris!
A fine portrait.
At least you got a half smile! ;-)
You are the double exception of tourists... asked permission... left a tip. Bravo !
Must have been eerie on a brisk morning. You and birds enjoyed it.
ahhh….I can hear him play…makes me miss Paris even more:-)
Great shot. I love violin music.
I believe that he may have a good spot for playing. The sidewalks are wide enough so that he is not crowded. He is right at the entrance of a Métro station, and he is in a very populated area (with tourists) in front of Saint Germain des Prés.
It was early enough that there was little competition from street noise.
Thank you all...

Hope he enjoyed his own music too. Nice portrait, Genie!
Just one of the things that make Paris so special.
Beautiful. Lovely photo.
I saw him twice as I made my way to the apt. and back!

Violin at Saint-Germain-des-Prés, it's really Paris, past and wonderful years when there were so much artists.
