Jardin des Plantes
Walking alone in the garden, an alley of trees appeared,
presenting a carpet dappled by the sun
with a pattern of lace.
The sun was elusive,
and one must be quick to capture its appearance.

I want to walk in that garden NOW. It really does look like lace.

A nice place to sit and meditate.
To be alone in such a place is so rare and precious!
Absolutely magical Genie....I love it!
Best wishes,
Ruby
The shadows on this dusty path are gorgeous.
This is definitely one of those "wow" photos! Fantastic capture ... Beautiful composition ... Perfect narrative!!!!
You made it look so lovely Genie. Jardin des Plantes was I think the only place I"ve ever been disappointed in in Paris.
Hi Genie, welcome back. I heard that you had the best time in Paris even though it rained a lot :) spring showers oui! At least you got to see the sun now and then as in this stunning image above. I really enjoyed Daryl's photos of your times together, I'm thinking you know Paris so well, la la you are looking tres 'French' :)
How lovely! When I saw this, it was raining very hard and pretty cold. I'm glad you had better weather. Or at least I hope you did!
poetic and lovely .. ah the elusive parisian sunshine
Fabulous! Did I mention that your photo is fabulous?
A beautiful place of peace, to walk or sit awhile. What a beautiful way to start the day.
It was such a joy to see you had come for a visit.. Thank you for your kind words about Chester.. I really enjoyed creating him.
Gorgeous lace pathway! And wonderful photo, Genie. :)
Is that walkway as long as it appears?
Magical! Glad to see you saw some sun at least.
Dear Genie,
I've spent the entire afternoon looking at your photographic blog. You captured beautiful images of Paris. I love Paris and will enjoy all future postings. All the best, Jeanette
I love the shadow pattern on the ground.
Starman, when I took this shot, I thought that I should back up the extra 75 meters or so to get the full effect. Yes, it really is this long. It is just as stunning in the winter, but in a black and white way. I'll share one of those photos soon for comparison.
Jeanette, thank you kindly, and I am glad to see you here. Stay in touch.
I did take a Tenin (Eric) perspective shot but I was so close to the ground that much of the "lace" was lost. I'll share that one another time.
Best regards to all,
Genie
Oh, the big trees of Paris.
In a (compound) word? Breath-taking :-)
