La Palette - pluie battante

La Palette

This café/bistro was filled with people seen here on the terrace
huddled under the umbrellas and heaters.
We were fortunate to find a spot inside with a view,
dry and free from the blowing rain.

As we say, "a rainy day in Paris beats a great day at home."

"It's absolutely true that "a rainy day in Paris beats a great day at home." B&W is great for rainy day shots.

Oh, yes! I couldn't agree more! And I also agree with the B&W for a rainy day shot! Perfect! Have a great weekend, Genie!

There is something mysterious about being outside in any kind of weather. Some sense of contentment, an inner peace and happiness. You captured that mood perfectly!

La Palette has been my go to place many times in the winter to change film in my camera. It has been there forever and is very representative of the kind of old Paris cafés that are rapidly disappearing. Love the photo.

I used to love to sit outside at the cafes of Paris.....until they filled up with smokers.

Love this. It looks like a scene from a fabulous Parisian noir film!

Sometimes you just want to be outdoors.

How right you are! I'd still go to Paris in a heartbeat even if I knew it would rain every day I was there. You certainly made the most of this rainy moment!

How lovely! On this cold Michigan day, I crave the time when we are all sitting in cafes under umbrellas!

Where else but in Paris? On the other hand, I have begun outdoor swimming at our health club -- air temp --29 F, water temp -82 F.

I've never heard that saying before. "A rainy day in Paris beats a lonely day at home." I like it.

Oops. I mean a great day at home.
