Palais Royal in the snow
In the first week of December 2010, the snow started to fall gingerly as seen here,
and by the 8th of December, it was a traffic-stopping blanket of soft whiteness.
The green leaves still on the sculpted trees
are a pleasing contrast to the white carpet.

Green leaves, white snow—you don't see that every day. Not many places more beautiful than the Palais Royal in any weather. But this . . . lovely, Genie!
Et à ce jour la neige a fait son apparition dans le nord de la France, paris compris !
Ouf pas chez moi !...
Très jolie photo.
Gros bisous
We have a dream of seeing Europe under snow. I do hope we realise it one day. Love your snowy perspective along the corridor of trees.
Cela n'arrête pas, cette année ! A quand les remonte pente à Montmartre ?
Exactly the same is happening in PAris since last sunday!
Une belle ambiance....

Such a beautiful photo, and a sight I hope to see for myself one day.
I like the perspective.
I can remember the delight I felt when I first visited this garden in summer. Hopefully I may see it in winter when I celebrate a significant birthday (just around the corner.)Bisous

Brrrr!!! I'm so done with snow!!!
This is really nice, Genie There is something about formal rows of trees that I respond to . . .
So beautiful...
Stunning nature...stunning capture. Something about green and white just makes me feel so confused though, does it you also?
Marvellous image Genie, the nicest 'avenue' of trees that I've seen for ages! Like Joe, I dream of visiting Paris in winter.
Quintessential Parisian promenade. I love the diagonals taking you into the image! Nice moody pic -- bet this one would be even better in B&W.
les allées désertes. Que les amateurs de photos en vadrouille.
Oh, yes, indeed!
It looks so quiet...
