Café rouge

This café terrace on Rue de Sèvres was not attracting many customers
despite the rouge blankets draped across the chairs.

The rain had moved the crowd indoors.

Ah, the rain will do that!! But hopefully, soon there will be sunshine and all of those chairs filled with happy customers!! Hope your week is off to a great start, Genie!

How nice that they provide blankets! I think I would be more tempted to stay outside and wrap myself up in one of them.

I've never seen that before Genie .... beautiful red rugs to keep the patrons warm. Such a lovely idea.

Pluie ou pas pluie, gageons qu'un fumeur ne tardera pas à faire une halte.

With such a weather I would also prefer to sid inside. The red blankets look great though.

You do have to admire the optimism of the café! I love that in Paris people sit outside in the winter. Following the red theme, there is an oyster bar called Le Baron Rouge near the Aligre market where on the coldest winter Saturday you will find people using those tall green trash cans as tables all along the sidewalk enjoying freshly shucked oysters.

But the blankets gives it a wonderful pattern in color. The chairs are also good looking with their 3 colors. Nice shot.

Wet and warm -- you can huddle. Wet and cold? Duck and cover! How pretty!

It would be hard to pass the rouge throws and not take one!

Even with a red blanket I probably would have gone inside. A warm rain is OK

I know the French are crazy when it comes to the weather, but even they won't sit in the rain.

I would probably move indoors too - despite the red blankets.

Even in that weather, a choice of empty café tables might be too good to pass up—especially with a cozy red blanket to keep me warm.

Oooo, it looks like it would be very cozy with one of those! Too bad no one took them up on it. :)

Café rouge. Du café qui est rouge? Je pense que non! Du thé, s'il vous plaît. Vert, pas noir.

I'm just out of hibernation and am trying to make my way around. Bit of a challenge; I'll get on to it soon enough. Je espère.

Blessings and Bear hugs!

How wonderful that the cafe provides a rug to keep out the chill.
