Galerie Vivienne - IX

2012 Jan 11 1st_0068

Galerie Vivienne

This is one of my favorite places to stay warm and
window shop on a cold dreary day in Paris.
Holly and I enjoyed the toy store with their wonderful selection of books.

After shopping you can always stop at A Priori Thé for a bit of tea.
Yes, most of my excursions in Paris involve a beverage and a pastry!

Hello! Happy New Year! I enjoy reading your blog. It's beatiful. Sorry my bad English, I learn it's. My friend gonna travel in Paris. I have got one question: Whether it is possible to buy somewhere in Paris a dry lavender for a sachet? And whether also it is worth doing it?
At us it grows, but say that a smell not the such

I love this passage! I´ve been there exactly one week ago! There was a red Christmas tree.

Your photo is parfait! You capture the floor mosaic, the store façade, the glass ceiling, and the chandelier ... Makes me feel as if I am there!

Love the warm colors in this photo. Another place that I must add to the list for my next Paris visit.

Now this would be a great place to spend the day. The decorations alone would be enough for me to spend the day looking at. Very pretty!

It would be nice to be there right now. I agree with you, a beverage and a pastry is the way to take breaks from all the walking.

I could be wrong, but I don't think I've ever been to Galerie Vivienne.

Just about everything I do tends to involve a nice coffee and perhaps a little something sweet somewhere in and around it! This is a beautiful spot, Genie.

Durimarochka, I do think that it is worth buying in Paris and that it is possible to buy the dried lavender in the street markets of Paris. Thank you for writing me. I did understand your English.

Harriet, you will love this exquisite covered shopping gallery.

Vreni, I am sorry that I was not there at the same time. We could have had a chocolat chaud here! The scarlet flocked tree is spectacular!

Shell, we could pull up many chairs and compare notes about the many shops.

Bon weekend to all! I have a home filled with friends and relatives and we are adding to our number on Sunday. I cannot think of a better way to spend the holidays.

Bises,
Genie

Très charmante. The idea that it also offers warmth, makes it a must do in winter. Happy New Year.
