In the long promenade around Bassin de la Villette,
one can see many games of Pétanque and players of all ages.
Although this man seemed quite intense
let me assure you that it was a lively, spirited game among friends,
including women.
(Couldn't this be an Olympic sport?)

Une grande concentration !
Pierre
Hello Genie:
Whatever, the concentration is so very apparent in this wonderful portrait photograph. Pétanque, played all over France, is so very symbolic of that particular nation.
Great portrait Genie. If you can judge a man by his pétanque I think you could call this guy "committed".
You have a very charming, bohemian blog. I am in love with Paris myself, I have never been there, yet I know many things about this astonishing city. Kisses.
Even in the middle of Paris!
French are incorrigibles :-)
always a wonderful subject for photographers !
Very creatively informative post ~and great blog ~ thanks, namaste, (A Creative Harbor)
ps ~ thanks for coming by my blog ^_^
Love the expression on his face! Now that is being "involved" in the game! How fun! And it is fun to see people enjoying whatever they're involved in! Great capture for the day as always, mon amie!
Hugs

He certainly looks focused!
He's got the 'look' of the Olympic competition.
You can tell by his intense concentration that he is definitely a man on a mission and yes, I think Petanque should be an Olympic event. :) I'd watch!
Concentration! Yes, I think it should be in the Olympics. Wonder why it isn't.
Well better pétanque than beach party volleyball. This guy is much younger than the crowd I hang with at Luxembourg! Great shot.

We always do that when we camp in Spain and it is so much fun.
Great expression on his face.
Do you play Genie? :)
Well it would definitely be a gold for the French is it was so Genie, nice to hear that there were women playing also..
He's definitely focused, but having lots of fun at the same time. Such concentration. He's desirous of a win, that's for sure! :)
