You can even buy all that you need to set up as a beekeeper.
He is an expert in les abeilles, miel, cire d'abeilles, a true apiculture parisien!
A purchase of honey and beeswax candles was made after a delightful visit with him in the petite shop. Two large vats of honey along with all the other products give the small space a sweet aroma.
Monsieur Schakmundès became my newest Paris friend,
and I will carry this portrait back to him in January.

He was a delight and I look forward to returning with Holly in January. I have forgotten about a special post on bees that Marie and I found (hah!) and will publish it soon.
The stories of bees and honey in Paris is fascinating and I will publish a link for the story about the special quality and purity of honey from the parks and rooftops of Paris. I would LOVE to see the Opera Garnier hives!
I hope that Monsieur likes his portrait as he asked to see how it looked after I shot it. I think he will approve of the b/w although he is quite a colorful character!
