The rays of the early morning sun created elongated shadows in the portico. As the sunlight touched the brass letter slot it glinted revealing the corner of a blue aero gramme clasped in its grip. My chest thumped, my temples pulsed. Could this be the letter I was waiting for? I fumbled with the keys, unlocked the door of my boutique, ripped open the envelope and read ......
Such a perfect B&W capture, Genie! Joe's words creates a perfect story to go with your photo! How fun! Hope your weekend is off to a great start, mon amie!
Joe, I will need to put under contract for your writing prowess!
I am glad that you like the sultry look of this vestibule just steps away from children at play... another example of the beautiful diversity of Paris.
It was a perfect day in Paris with no rain and a comfortable temperature. I explored parts of the 13ieme and the 14ieme, finding many new treasures with my camera!
I found the subject of my recent post on Marche Maubert and delivered the three photos I had taken of him. Then he and the other gentleman allowed me to take their photo together.

What a wonderful shot, Genie.

a little gothic mood, here.. light shows you the way to darkness..
Oh Joe is tapping his inner romance writer today! :)
I love these shadows too. Sigh

Oh to be entering and walking through the shadows ... C'est parfait en blanc et noir!
Can't wait to see some of the photos you took on the way to your hotel. Hope you eat a delicious triangle at the marche today.

Genie, you have a lovely and almost mysterious image here today. Very nice. Go forth and capture more . . .

Beautiful shot! It has a very mysterious look with the shadows outlining the entryway of the foyer.
