This is precisely the type of detail I neglect to notice (my loss). Rendering it in B&W was an excellent choice, and the gradations of intensity are very good indeed.
She came zoom-zooming up the sidewalk and nearly ran us over! Then she went the wrong way up a one-way street and took off around the corner. But you, my dear friend, are a zoom-zoom photographer and captured her in perfect detail. Très bien!
Never in America. Especially not Oklahoma where our interstates speed along at 75 mph not to mention the 30 mph wind gusts. Even wearing a scarf, our hair would be an owls nest by the time we reached our destination. But it would be fun to tootle around on a scooter in Paris, no mater the shoes.
High heel contradiction indeed! What a great shot and you were "quick on the click"! I do love your people and places around Paris captures, Genie! Hope you have a lovely weekend, mon amie!
Ooh, It's a good thing she is wearing a longer length pair of pants or she might get one of those terrible burns from the exhaust pipe. I've gotten those before when I rode behind my brother and I never wore high heels! LOL
Alexa, I am adding her to "my collection" of French girls, and Jack, I would not think that of you.
Marie reminded me of the circumstances of the photo... She was definitely a woman on a mission and one accustomed to zooming! Also, you can see that her moto is well-equipped with a guard for the mud/rain/slush
Leia, j'adore les talons aiguilles mais les ballerines sont plus confortable.
I am high above the US flying to Las Vegas where I will be working for a week. I am combining some fun with Mr. Paris and my two girls joining me.

Une photo très sensuelle...
gros bisous
:-)
Bonne journée,
Pierre
Oh, yeah. All she needs is a cigarette in her pouty mouth to make this scene complete. I've seen it. Honest.

it could be in milano...
Oh le joli talon!
I took a number of photos of tres stylish ladies in quite high heels knocking about on their Velibs!
How terribly French of her.
Indeed...une chic motocycliste!

Oh the picture speaks a lot. The shoes of her fashion sense, the bike of her rough and tough nature, etc,. The black and white is a +10
I saw something similar around here recently and did a double take. Rather unusual.
I like the heavy machine - high heels contradiction

One expects no less in Parris.
Oh yes, she's got the va-va-voum as well!
She certainly does have a well-turned ankle!

Cute shoes!

Oh wow. I could never ride a bike in shoes like that.
You probably could have put her in your "Must Be a French Girl" series too, Genie. :~} Nicely done!
A skillful capture if ever there was one...
If you think I am going to make a chauvinist comment about her ankle, you have another think coming . . .
