Well I can say that although I tried to avoid sugar and carbs [insulin problem] whilst I was in Paris.. by the end of my trip on my return to Paris I was eating pain au chocolate every day.. haha.. I miss it.. will have to find some here!!!
You know sadly I didn't make it to Laduree.. maybe I was subconsciously avoiding the sugar??? I wish though I had found that cute little boulangerie you showed a few posts back.. gee.. should have checked out your blog before I ventured over there..

Loving that ironwork and sign! As for your challenging array of choices, I will go for the macarons. For the first visit, that is.
I leave the sweets and look at the beautiful sign, so much details with a windmill and the curls. No temptations on Monday, have to be strong.

Next time at LaDuree on the Champs..request a table upstairs...very formal and beautiful up there...draperies, oil paintings and chandeliers ...an elegant setting for their sweets! But, maybe you know that....

When I was in Paris, I went to the BOULANGERIE DAILY...for my own boule and I would eat the whole thing. But in France, at least for me, I WALKED SO MUCH,I could not keep on the weight! louciao, you are correct, and there seems to be a consensus that we some some of each and will share a buffet. I think that we would need to close this pâtisserie for a private party!
So, today I have learned a new work "craque" and that all of you can be tempted to eat pastries on a Monday. We will walk it off.
Paris Paul, you need not worry that we will not get enough of your bread... I will tell you about my two favorites soon. There is nothing better than eating a Baguette Monge, hot out of the paper wrapping in front of Eric Kayser's in the cold air of December. Of course we buy two more to carry back to the apartment.
