Hands of friendship
There are six sculptures of bronze hands laid on granite stones in Jardins des Tuileries by Louis Bourgeois. In April, Marie entwined her hands in the cold bronze as tens of thousands before her.
Then she quickly pulled out the hand sanitizer.

Terrific capture as always, Genie! I would have probably been so carried away I would have, perhaps foolishly, totally forgotten the hand sanitizer! Hope your week is going well, mon amie!
Hugs
Sylvia
Oh Genie, this is so beautiful!
An image of peace and a dream of what the world can be..simple and stunning.
Bonne Journee to you,
- Irina
J'aime beaucoup cette image Genie...
Bonne journée,
Pierre
Très belle image en effet, Genie. Mais dis-moi, quand même, ces Américains, quels germophobes! ;-) Veronique (French Girl in Seattle)
Sorry Genie. Bad connection in Seattle! My comment kept repeating itself-- Veronique
Nice image...
I find it inspiring ♥
What a beautyful picture!
Une sculpture magnifique comme ta photo naturellement. Elle a bien fait, Marie.
Bonne journée.
Such a handy picture you're shared with us, Genie.
Such a beautiful shot!
Nice picture, but a hand sanitizer? We don't even know that in Europe and we are still live and kicking.
Si tous les gens du monde pouvaient se donner la main...
belle image...
gros bisous
Like this photo and the idea behind it a lot !
Wonderful photo Genie. You are so very talented!
Welcoming Hands is an amazing find. Peter and I had to search to find them. I had seen one photo in 07 that someone had taken but finding them in Tuileries was not easy. Such a treat to discover them tucked away. Peter put his hand in one as well ! i loved them all except the baby hand not so much.

Genie,
Thank you so much for showcasing this sculpture--I will make sure to hunt it down this winter. I love L.B.
I am not normally a germaphobe; however, when you only have a few days in Paris you don't want to take a chance on getting sick! Love the photo, Genie!
A very beautiful sculpture. I have to laugh at using the hand sanitizer...Imagine all the hands making contact with the "hands of friendship".

So beautiful message! So wonderful and creative picture!

Beautiful image, Genie. Love the punchline (but better safe than sorry)!
How fun! I wonder if they're still there... Now, where's my hand sanitizer?
Geez, not using hand sanitizer would be like not wearing a bike helmet.
Nice contrast Genie.
Great photo, but your commentary with the punch line is what makes this post so much fun.
Wonderful comments, all of them, and I am reading with weary eyes still in Las Vegas.
Just to clarify, there is no title of this sculpture. I titled it when Marie clasped the open bronze hand. They are wonderful and if you go to Paris you should seek them out.
I leave for home tomorrow and to Paris in a week!
Bises,
Genie
