A little break from the streets of Paris brought us here to Dalloyau, a renown pâtisserie, on Boulevard Beaumarchais. I previously showed you the Bubble Pêche featured in the window that morning. The inside of Dalloyau is just as much a treat as the macarons (and l'Opéra) we devoured with our noisette and café crème. We were on a mission. The pâtisserie hunt continues...

You DO know where to go and have a grand time. Boulevard Beaucmarchais is always on my list when I go to Paris for reasons of supplies which Belgian 'musicians' are always asking me to bring back. I am proud to say that I have always resisted the temptations of going in this patisserie. Your picture will probably have an adverse effect, next trip. Bon weekend!I

Have you been able to make a 'short list' of your favorite patisseries yet? I didn't make a trip to France this year which makes the longing to be there even more acute.
We were just up the boulevard but never entered.
Well, mission accomplished, I'm sure! Makes me want to park my little derrière in one of those pretty pink chairs and have a macaron (or two).
There is nothing quite like a "mission" and a goal! To hunt down pâtisseries for scientific purposes seems so worthwhile. Daughter Holly and I started on this some years back and I have now drafted Marie to help continue the research!

The day we were here, it was just the two of us seated although there was a steady stream of customers at the counter. It was quiet and would have been plenty of room for us all!

I´ve only passed by Dalloyau on Boulevard Beaumarchais and enjoyed the sweets in the windows. Now I see what I´ve missed by not entering! I love all this pink!!!

Looks like a great place! I want to be there now! First thing I do is try to capture the reflection of painted waiter on the table. Then bring on the Pâtisseries!
Oooh, it looks so fabulous- and that's without even the merest glimpse of a pastry! I've never managed to make it to Dalloyau (yet). Next time in Paris, I must make it a priority.

Fidji, I have not, but just spent 30 minutes reading all about it. I have not been a fan of the dried meringues in Paris, but David L's description paired with Rosa's just put this "on the list."
