You took this shot at l'Hôtel du Nord, Genie? This conjures up images of old French movies, Arletty, and her famous "gouaille" (cheeky sense of humor). Santé Genie, et bon weekend! Veronique (French Girl in Seattle)
Généralement, les Américaines boivent du vin blanc, en dehors des repas, mais je vois que la plus française, des Américaines que je connaisse, apprécie le vin rosé, comme tous les Français, en été!...
I like the reference in title, Genie, Hotel du Nord... That is a very important cultural reference for French people : it so nice of you to know that one...
And the picture itself is awesome : I like the way you captured the life of the moment...
Nice say too, and so right : half empty half full, it doesn't matter indeed : all comes to whom you sharing with...
Dear Genie, first of all, I see that we are sharing the love for the same place - Paris! I am planning to move there when I will turn 90.I will be spending my days sitting on the bench, wearing hats, shoes by Chanel and smoking rediclous amount of cigaretts. :-))) Thank you for your wonderful comment - it brought smile to my face. I will be following your Blog from now on for more inspiration and beauty! Thank you for sharing it with me. :-)
Céline, happy birthday! I left you a message - great minds think alike!
I think that there will be plenty of wine (and other beverages) for all of us. We'll place a large order with Fábio for more French rosé and some reds for all! Merci!
If you have not been to Hotel du Nord, it is a wonderful restaurant with much history.

I can taste this rose. Mmmm. It's a little early, though. Just one drop in my glass please.
Thanks for your good weekend wishes. Nothing like a little vino to start it off. Great photo.
And may it always be alcohol!
Bon weekend à toi!
Aww..thanks Genie. But at this early hour I think it would be a coffee for me! Have a wonderful weekend...
And I know who you were sharing it with at the Hotel du Nord! Wonderful memories! :)

Love the photograph; 'full of life,' as one commenter said. I was at Hotel du Nord last winter; it was cold and I had a 'chocolat chaud'...

May your house be safe from tigers.
And may you stay dry! (No, the other kind of dry—as in enough with all these storms.) Love the way you captured the action in this shot. Bon weekend!
Great post!
I also choose a glass of wine for Week-end reflections! Cheers!
My husband always says my glass is half full. Thank you for the wonderful glass of bubbly going into the weekend.
I hope yours is relaxing and stress free.
Kris

This is, in addition to being a good photograph, the embodiment of friendliness and comraderie. Salut! Have a grand weekend, will you?
What a wonderful thought. Have a wonderful weekend.
I shall lift a bottle of 1664 to you, since (very sadly) I'm allergic to wine and bubbly. Bon weekend!
Great photo and your thoughts on the subject are perfect!
Such a happy sparkling photo this eve of such a sad and tragic day. Your capture is stunning. The other Genie
