I think that I will never see all the churches in Paris and yet I know that I will never cease to be surprised at the splendor and glory in each. There has been much said about the empty churches, devoid of people. Marie and I found it quite different with people praying at all times of day and days of the week. This church is just across the street from Julian (pâtisserie) and there are more photos to come.
In looking for information on this church in a well-to-do neighborhood, there is concern about maintenance for this and other historical churches in Paris.

I'm not a regular churchgoer-unless I'm in Paris! There are so many, and each are a source of wonder, so glorious, so peaceful.
L'autel de cette église est encore très beau. Effectivement, voir toutes les églises de Paris relève de l'exploit, tellement elles sont nombreuses. Je pense qu'un Parisien qui va à la messe pourrait chaque jour changer d'église et il lui faudra une année pour en faire le tour.

Such a majestic altar. It looks a very sacred place. The fresco in the dome must be magnificent.

This is what I found down in the Langudoc. Too many magnificent buildings to maintain, too little money.

Beautiful mouldings and much gilding,speaks of a bygone age.
I hope they do continue to find money for necessary repairs,the fund raising for this is a major task in itself.

A splendid choice for Mother's Day. I hope that yours is filled with fun, joy, and lots of laughter.
Considering that the Church is the richest entity on earth, one would think there wouldn't be much trouble keeping their ornate houses in good condition.
