Comment ne peut-on pas tomber amoureux de Paris ?... Les ramoneurs autrefois avaient la chance de surplomber toute cette ville majestueuse... de cheminée en cheminée... Gros bisous.
I would never have guessed this is from Galleries Lafayette. Such a unique shot with the reflection of the building behind you. I look at your photos and realize I have much to learn. Wondered if you went to Le Soufflet on your last trip.
Superb reflection capture, Genie! You are a talented and artistic photographer and I love your photos -- and the delightful places you capture! Enjoy your weekend!
Lovely photo -- wonderful reflection!! And all I can say to Grace (PerthDailyPhoto) is -- HA! we weren't shopping in Galleries Lafayette -- We were just walking by taking pictures!!! Hmmm -- maybe next trip we will need to dedicate one day to some serious shopping ... but only if the exchange rate is better! Bon weekend!
your photos never cease to excite and please me...this one is spectacular.. as is the one below! amazing eye! you are an artist living in a land filled with subject matter!
Suzi -- I am a bit envious... have a wonderful trip!
Grace -- We were walking and stopping for photos... it was so early that the store was not even open yet!
Malyss Chim chim cher-ee! A sweep is as lucky, as lucky can be! Merci, mon amie
Andy -- Well you know that I took this photo in April ... When I return you will have plenty of advance notice... Merci!
biebkriebels -- Merci and have a wonderful weekend
Yonks -- Thank you and I truly appreciate your comment and visit
Jeanne -- This is a window in the "home store" of GL. The windows are always interesting. Le Soufflé? I did not although I am sure that we walked past it on our first night in Paris... tant pis pour nous.
Cezar -- Aha! You are correct and win a box of virtual macarons!
The picture inside the display is quite interesting, of course, but I find that the green tree leaves on the reflection add a colorfull touch very delicate, et so very unique to the draw...
What a great photo. To capture the reflection of the tree which is positioned so perfectly just adds a special touch. I'd love a copy of this print as well!
Hu ha! What an extraordinary image! I think you were looking through the window of a department or toy store containing some small scale model of Paris; and behind you was the birch tree and apartment house. Whatever the truth may be, it is a lovely/creative shot. It certainly gives the viewer a lot to think about, as well as enjoy.

Behind the camera, perhaps? :)
Fantastic shot!
God bless you!

It reminds me of Sur les Toits, an Hermès scarf. Love it!

Où suis-je ? Why, Paris of course! Pas encore.
Wouldn't it be fun to make notecards out of this photo?
A cute reflection, Genie. Yup. Paris again.

AA -- I know that pattern -- You are right!
Karena -- I think that we looked to see if there was a price but I do not think so. It may have just been part of the window display... amazing, no?
Virginia -- It was "une gravure" or a print... I would love to have this art
Chieftess -- Moi aussi!
Sylvia K -- You are most kind with your comments. I love the "discover and capture" of interesting places... merci
Alexa -- Wall mural, yes! Merci, mon amie
Marie -- And, we will need to plan on a checked bag for our flights home!
Starman -- But soon, I imagine!
Kate -- Now, I am really wanting this with its great color and styling...
Jack -- Oui, Paris encore!
Suzanne -- Marci... I do not live there but visit as often as I can... It is clearly full of objects to photograph (or paint)
That is such a funny one, Genie !

Nice idea ! And so well photographied...
One of the best reflections I've seen lately.
