This area of Paris is full of cabinet-makers and of those who repair fine antique pieces. I have a friend in Nogent sur Marne (Paris suburb) whose father was a well-known ebeniste and I took this photo for her.
This ebeniste certainly selected an elegant rich color for his atelier, n'est-ce pas?

I like this style of shop facade, Genie. It does not really matter (not to me) what trade the shop is involved in. I have a few in my ocllection now. Two more that I noticed yesterday down on Rue Bac that I wish to add to my collection. Then shall prepare a post.
I think there is a post awaiting too on the use of colour in the retail street-scape. Such an exciting thing just to walk the streets. One never knows what is around the next corner.
Plenty of things to visit on my next trip to Paris.. if I want to see everything you spotted, I will never be able to return to Brussels !

Genie, once again you have caught a lovely bit of Paris. This is a simple but beautiful place. The blue is the color of the shutters on my house.

Paris has such pretty shop fronts. I was fascinated by them.

It definitely takes a special kind of skill to do what M. Maulet does. I was struck by all the beautiful shades of blue I saw in Paris (mostly on shop fronts and doors)— and such rich saturated hues, like this.

I love that shade of blue.
As a painter I feel I should know this... but I wonder what 'name' this blue has? Sort of a...Pthalo with a touch of red... but what name? I'm going to investigate!
