Marché alimentaire -- (and a petite shopper)

As we popped out of the Métro on avenue de Villiers (in the 17ième) ma fille Holly spied this little food store. As I took photos of the brightly colored produce, the little pink tricycle caught my eye. It was carefully parked alongside the store.

Within a minute, this pert little miss in a Pooh helmet and red coat exited, placed her purchases in the rear basket, and pedaled away with maman a step or two behind. When you get out of the touristy areas of Paris you will likely find many little vignettes to make you smile.

Aww, SO cute! And I'll bet she already speaks better French than I do.

Thanks for following my blogs - and for helping me to discover yours! I've added you to my list of Paris blogs on my IP blogroll.

This girl is very cute, but I'm not sure she found any bargains in this kind of store. However, when it's only a sweet or two I can't imagine that she had to dip too far into her savings.

Hi Genie,
I've just been scrolling through your photos and dreaming of Paris. One would think one could let it go after 4 years away, but it sticks with a person. I have to go back!

Shell -- There is nothing as sweet as the French of a little child, and definitely better than mine

Dianne -- I have been by this store many times and it is always filled with colorful fruit

M -- We did not see her on our trip but I did look for her. Tant pis pour nous.

Adam -- Merci beaucoup! I became a follower of yours and when I figure out how to add the widget I'll have a blogroll too with yours! I don't think that there was a big purchase here and that it was more about the "outing" -- Merci

Petrea -- I think that if Paris speaks to you that you will never get her out of your thoughts. Bonne anniversaire aujourd'hui a ton mari.

Very cool and colourful captures that tell us a story! :-)

I think it's a sign of the times that she has a seat-belt on her tricycle.

JM -- Merci! The photos with stories help me compensate for less than wonderful photography skills...

Starman -- I noticed that too and wondered just how fast she can pedal and if she crosses the street. I did notice that it is called "Love Bug"

Shopper in training! Very cute! And talk about having the best parking spots.

Alexa and Sara -- Chic indeed! Just look at those little polka dot legging and contrasting socks!

Rob -- I love that this is a neighborhood and people seem to know each other. Obviously, there was no concern about leaving her little trike out on the street.

Thanks to all for your comments! Merci!
