Église Sainte-François de Sales

Rue Brémontier in the 17ieme is one of the streets between the Metro Wagram and our favorite restaurant in Paris. We recognize familiar landmarks along the way and Église Sainte-François de Sales assures us that we are headed in the right direction. When I was introducing Marie and Virginia to Franck and Karin last June, we stopped for photos in and outside this neighborhood church.

Bon dimanche!

Side by side

Side by side and perfectly in step is how I found this mature, stylish couple in the 17ième on Rue Brémontier.

Le Chien I

After lunch in the 17ième arr. we ran into this perky little pooch. His owner was chatting away with a friend on the street while le chien gave me several different poses.

It is no secret that les Parisiens love their dogs and it would be difficult to walk down any trottoir in Paris and not spy at least one "owner on a leash."

Some petits chiens get to ride in chic designer bags. All pups can enjoy déjeuner in the cafés and bistrots.

C'est la belle vie!

Orange scooter!

An orange scooter? And where is it's owner?

Quelle chance! It is Virginia's and she is ready to take off -- zoom zoom!

Today is the beginning of my second month with Paris and Beyond -- Many thanks to Virginia who helped birth "the baby" guiding me through the steps. Thanks also to JB who distracted us both from afar.

Merci, mes amis!

Marché alimentaire -- (and a petite shopper)

As we popped out of the Métro on avenue de Villiers (in the 17ième) ma fille Holly spied this little food store. As I took photos of the brightly colored produce, the little pink tricycle caught my eye. It was carefully parked alongside the store.

Within a minute, this pert little miss in a Pooh helmet and red coat exited, placed her purchases in the rear basket, and pedaled away with maman a step or two behind. When you get out of the touristy areas of Paris you will likely find many little vignettes to make you smile.
