The lighting in this photo reminds me very much of what it was like the day Rick and I were there. So rich and warm amidst all that cool and sheltering stone. Lovely.

What words describe such magnificence? :). And you've captured it so well, Genie!

You are off to Paris again on Wednesday, so I gather from Daryl. Enjoy!

Notre Dame is not my favourite church in Paris, it's too crowded by far, but it is a must visit, your picture is particularly lovely.

I love reading the experience of others in Notre Dame... Just think, we could have run into each other gazing at the wonder of this cathedral!

Louise, you are right about the crowds. As I looked for a suitable photo for this post, I had many with "tourists" which spoils the scene. So many of my photos are "looking up" for that reason.

Julie, you are right, but cross your fingers as we are not there yet. Wish you could join us.

Bises,
Genie

How wonderful it would be to attend a concert in Notre Dame. On one of my rare visits monks were singing in this grand cathedral. It brought tears to my eyes.
