Wedding photos

This beautiful couple posed for photos on Ile Saint-Louis on the Quai d'Orleans.
The temperature was a brisk,
but the photographer moved quickly to get the desired photos.

The American photographer got her share of photos as well from above.

  2. The Île St.-Louis is a nice place for wedding photos. I think I would prefer the Jardin du Luxembourg though.

  4. Hello Genie:
This is so enchanting, and such a refreshing change from the more conventional wedding photographs which, to be honest, we find somewhat tedious.

What we love here is that so difficult to describe expression on the groom's face.

  7. They look so French. I can't imagine an American bride having a fur like that to throw over her wedding dress.

  14. I'll bet your photos were just as good as those of the photog they hired! (And it's certainly a different angle.)

  16. Could you tell if they were an actual "couple". I get the feeling they're just posing.

  19. I have a series of this couple which I saw on the quai as we crossed Pont St-Louis. It was a chilly day in January and they were taking pre-wedding (I presume) photos. The photographer's assistant was holding her little fur jacket. In this shot, the groom-to-be was helping her into her Uggs. They were definitely a couple.

I was standing above the quai and shooting freely.

    Genie

  21. B & W is a good choice for this, Genie. I really like that they're oblivious to you and your camera. Nice find.
